3SOFT has joined the AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture) development partnership as a premium member.
The AUTOSAR initiative has been established in July 2003. At present the core partners are the car manufacturers BMW Group, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, Volkswagen AG, Toyota Motor Corporation, PSA Peugeot Citroën and the equipment suppliers Bosch, Continental and Siemens VDO. AUTOSAR aims at developing an open standard for electrical/electronic software architectures in the automotive sector to facilitate standardization of basic systems and interfaces. It is also intended to simplify the integration and transfer of components as well as the implementation of software-updates and upgrades.
3SOFT is one of the leading providers of software solutions for embedded systems. More than 80 percent of the company's revenues are generated on the automotive market. In this sector 3SOFT develops standard platforms and applications for controllers, infotainment, telematics and for the on-/off-board navigation. 3SOFT services comprise project management, development and customization of embedded software products. They also include quality assurance and product maintenance.
