EB Wireless Environment Solution emulates the real wireless environment in laboratory conditions:
- The real radio environment is first measured in the field
- The radio environment is then emulated in laboratory conditions.
In a laboratory the user is able to control the network conditions all the time. This enables traceable, repeatable and accurate testing, verification and validation of wireless networks, devices, chipsets and applications.
The EB Wireless Environment Solution facilitates testing of intra-cell, intra-system and inter-system handovers. For example, handovers from one antenna sector to another and from one communication system to another.
The solution uses EB Propsim C8 to emulate all the phenomena that are simultaneously present in real radio networks: fast fading, signal level variations, the Doppler effect and interferences.
Full duplex radio channel links can be emulated. In addition, each up- and downlink channel can have unique multipath fading profiles with interference, fast fading and shadowing.
The solution enables reliable testing and benchmarking of wireless devices. Tests are fully repeatable and benchmarking results comparable.
