EB Develops 911 Assist & Vehicle Health Report for Ford SYNC
EB supplies two ground breaking applications for Ford SYNC, a fully integrated car connectivity and entertainment platform: the 911 Assist (911 is the emergency telephone number for North America) and the Vehicle Health Report (VHR). The 911 Assist calls automatically for help in case of an accident and the VHR delivers a diagnostics report on a voice command.
The SYNC platform represents a significant technology leap in the automotive infotainment domain as it enables Ford to continuously add applications to SYNC during the life cycle of a car.

New Release: EB tresos Busmirror add-on for OEM Specific Configurations and CAN Support
Supporting different car manufacturers and their specific FlexRay requirements with a new add-on for the EB tresos Busmirror, OEM-specific configurations, such as network management, alive counters, CRC calculations or fault simulations, for cluster emulation will be available.
Furthermore, the EB cluster simulation now supports CAN and direct digital signal input and output on the EB 5100 and EB 6100 hardware as well as multiplexed FlexRay signals. With the new release, updating the firmware got a lot easier.
FlexRay: Measuring and Cluster Simulation in the EMC Test Stand
EB offers a solution for the compatibility measurement and the cluster emulation for controllers on the FlexRay bus that can be implemented directly in the EMC environment: the controller is linked via fiber optics with an opto-electrical converter to EB 6100 or EB 5100 outside the test environment.
EB street director 5.0 Out Now!
The new EB street director 5.0 now includes features like 3D navigation with 3D landmark models, and historic traffic flow data. By incorporating time based, historic traffic flow data in the route calculation, it becomes more intelligent and much more exact predictions regarding the estimated time of arrival can be made. The fastest route is calculated depending on realistic traffic speeds and according to different times of day. Typically congested areas can be avoided.
Later versions of EB street director 5 will also include:
alternative routes)
crossings)

New Version of EB GUIDE Studio Released
EB GUIDE Studio is the tool for model-based specification of HMI display and control concepts and the development of multi-modal user interfaces in the context of automobiles.
EB GUIDE Studio's new version 4.0 is out now and enhances the HMI development by modelling of 3-D displays and animations. It further provides a server-based license system for floating licenses and flexible module interfaces for optimized multi-user mode.
EB GUIDE Graphics Target Framework (GTF) 2.0, the new version of the automotive HMI runtime solution for code generation and target integration, is now available together with EB GUIDE Studio 4.0. The EB GUIDE GTF supports HMI developers worldwide to integrate previously designed EB GUIDE Studio models seamlessly into the automotive target platform.

Model-Based Development: SIMTOOLS and SIMTARGET 2009.a Available Soon
In Q1 2009 a new version of SIMTOOLS and SIMTARGET is scheduled for release. The new versions will support three use cases:
of one ECU
simulation ECU and define the cluster simulation functionality in
MATLAB/Simulink
Due to the seamless integration of FlexRay blocksets in your MATLAB/Simulink models, SIMTOOLS allows to configure all FlexRay parameters and simulate the FlexRay data transmission. SIMTARGET provides the code generation for the application code and the driver configuration in order to run the model on the target hardware.
New features in the planned SIMTOOLS release are:
New features in the planned SIMTARGET release are:
communication
Also available are SIMTARGET variants that support MPC5567 with Diabdata and code warrior compiler integration. Please enquire for further details and other platform support.
